Bohler’s Fairfield, CT office seeks a Senior Civil Design Engineer to support complex land development and site design projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality site designs while applying expertise in grading, utilities, stormwater, permitting, and coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering required or related discipline.
• 5+ years of land development design and permitting experience (we will consider 1+ years for Design Engineer).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software; knowledge of zoning and permitting requirements.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills; PE license beneficial, EIT in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and review grading, drainage, and utility plans for complex sites.
• Conduct zoning research and site feasibility analyses.
• Support project coordination with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review design deliverables for accuracy, quality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Perform hydrology, stormwater, and earthwork calculations using Civil 3D and related tools.
• Contribute to project budgeting, workload planning, and task coordination.

About the Role

Bohler’s Fairfield, CT office, serving Southern Connecticut, is seeking aSenior Civil Design Engineerto support complex civil engineering, site design, and land development projects. You’ll collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality site design solutions while contributing technical expertise across grading, utilities, stormwater management, permitting, and project coordination.
