Qualifications

• ABET-accredited undergraduate degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering with six years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
• Graduate degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering, Hydrology, or Water Resources; supervisory experience preferred.
• Professional Engineer license in Texas required and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team including engineers and technicians, managing workload and professional development.
• Oversees QA for design, construction oversight, and analysis.
• Performs engineering analysis, design, and permitting for civil/environmental projects including wastewater and nature-based solutions.
• Conducts feasibility studies, analyzes data, and identifies potential improvements.
• Develops drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
• Collaborates with consultants, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders for compliance and permits.
• Supervises construction and installation of projects, ensuring adherence to design specs.
• Performs field visits for inspections and condition assessments.
• Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in wastewater and civil engineering.
• Mentors junior staff and maintains project documentation and records.
• Manages project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation; presents to stakeholders.
