Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Construction Inspector to lead on-site quality observations for civil infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and water facilities.

You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with Project Managers while interpreting drawings to ensure compliance and safety. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 5 years of experience, and proficiency in MS Office; DOT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction inspection.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document observations of construction progress for civil projects.
• Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other field representatives.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
