Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to ensure quality and safety on civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and water facilities. You will document progress, read plans, and collaborate with Project Managers and field crews to uphold HDR’s high standards.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (8 years substitution possible), 3+ years of inspection experience, and MS Office proficiency. HDR values employee-owners and a culture of integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; substitutions allowed with 8 years of relevant inspection experience.
• Minimum 3 years of construction inspection experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Active participation in HDR employee-owned culture is a must.
• HDR’s Drug and Alcohol Policy; sponsorship for US employment is not available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document observations of construction for civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelines).
• Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
