Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Rogers, AR office is seeking a Civil Design Technician with 6+ years of experience to join our Development Services team! You will develop technical drawings and plans, perform quality checks, and collaborate across disciplines.

The role requires mentoring CAD staff, coordinating tasks to meet schedules, and applying engineering principles to design changes while upholding our standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
• Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; mentor others.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, and team player.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Develop technical drawings and plans.
• Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity.
• Perform some multifaceted calculations.
• Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
• Supervise and train CAD staff.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
