Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Dallas, TX office is seeking a Senior Civil Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our Development Services team. You will develop technical drawings, manage drafting standards, and mentor CAD staff to ensure high-quality plans.

You will collaborate with engineers and project teams, maintain drawing databases, and contribute to design changes as needed, while delivering accurate, detail-rich plans on schedule.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred).
• Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Strong work ethic and communication skills; ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards.
• Develop technical drawings and plans.
• Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity.
• Supervise and train CAD staff and coordinate schedules.
• Maintain drawing database and ensure quality control.
• Familiarize with Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
