Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior CICS Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium support for CICS TS and OEM products on the z/OS platform. The role requires hands-on mainframe experience and the ability to work across multiple time zones in a remote US setting.

You will install, tailor, and monitor CICS TS environments, support migrations, and collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services to execute planned DR actions. A strong customer-service mindset and proactive problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 10+ years’ zSeries/mainframe experience with CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS and related OEM products installation and tailoring.
• Extensive experience with IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of CICS TS concepts.
• Experience with monitoring tools for CICS TS regions.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide premium support for CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe customers in a timely manner.
• Support 24x7x365 and multiple time zones.
• Install OEM software products following best practices and Ensono standards.
• Prepare customer partitions for annual OS upgrades using checklists.
• Support customer migrations pertaining to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Assist project managers with migrations and resolving technical hurdles.
• Coordinate with Disaster Recovery Services for DR plans.
• Adhere to schedules to optimize resource use and timely implementations.
• Follow ITSM change control procedures and implement fixes/upgrades.
