Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is seeking a Sales Engineer-Chillers to join our team in Plano, Texas. This hybrid role supports our centrifugal chiller business with major clients across data centers, automotive plants, and hospitals.

You will blend technical engineering expertise with strategic sales, engage customers, review specifications, and collaborate with teams in Japan and the U.S. to deliver optimized cooling solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in technical sales or engineering within HVAC, refrigeration, or related sectors.
• Proven experience delivering cooling solutions using centrifugal chillers in the North American market.
• Strong technical knowledge of centrifugal chillers, HVAC products, and cooling systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Familiarity with U.S. regulations, energy efficiency standards, refrigerant trends, and industry guidelines.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise during customer engagements, including specification review and feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with Senior Sales Executives to develop proposals that meet customer requirements and project objectives.
• Conduct technical evaluations and performance analysis to ensure compliance with U.S. standards and customer expectations.
• Act as a liaison between customers and engineering/manufacturing teams in Japan, facilitating communication.
• Gather and analyze customer requirements and competitive intelligence to inform product customization.
• Assist in technical presentations and represent the company at industry events when required.
• Promote sustainability and mentor junior team members.
