Amentum seeks a highly skilled Chiller Plant Mechanic to support a premier pharmaceutical R&D facility in Groton, CT. You will operate, maintain, and optimize large chiller plants supporting critical process cooling and utility systems.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in industrial chillers, EPA 608 certification, and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical/electrical issues in a regulated environment. On-site with overtime as needed.

Formación

• Experience maintaining large industrial chiller plants (500+ ton machines preferred).
• EPA Section 608 certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Strong reading of mechanical drawings, schematics and OEM manuals.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair large chillers (centrifugal and absorption) and related equipment.
• Perform compressor work, tube cleaning/replacement, shaft alignment, and bearing/seal maintenance.
• Manage refrigerant handling with EPA compliance and documentation.
• Operate pumps, cooling towers, and water treatment systems; monitor plant controls.
• Interpret P&IDs and BAS/BMS data to optimize performance.
• Lead predictive maintenance activities and respond to upsets with minimal downtime.
