Job summary

The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) is seeking a Training Supervisor for the James Satterwhite Academy to oversee onboarding and staff development for Child Protective Service workers. The role ensures compliance with safety protocols, supports curriculum updates, and coordinates training across ACS and partner agencies.

The position reports to the Senior Director of Child Welfare Training and plays a key part in enhancing frontline staff effectiveness and program quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is required.
• 30 semester credits toward MSW or related graduate degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with DCP leadership and ACS offices to coordinate onboarding and training for new and in-service staff.
• Coordinate attendance at training sessions offered by Satterwhite Academy.
• Participate in curriculum development and revision.
• Promote safety interventions and ensure proper investigative practice and relevant laws and policies.
• Facilitate trainer development sessions and support CPS trainers and staff.
• Manage lead virtual course offerings.
• Coordinate staff development activities for new/revised policies.
• Evaluate the performance of JSA CPS trainers (7–8 staff).
• Maintain knowledge of the JSA CPS Core Learning Program and Core Phase I/II programs.
