Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Conroe, TX seeks an Unregulated Operations Investigator IV to lead complex investigations of unregulated child care facilities and drive regulatory actions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in investigations and regulatory compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates investigations of unregulated operations based on priority and risk.
• Interviews staff, parents, children and others to gather evidence and determine regulatory status.
• Lead community engagement and outreach on child care regulation and educate the public.
• Prepare documentation to support enforcement actions in coordination with legal teams.
• Travel statewide to conduct field investigations and inspections.
