Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Child Care Licensing Inspector III–V to monitor and regulate licensed facilities across Texas. You will inspect facilities, investigate violations, review applications for permits, and provide training to child-care providers.

The role supports state health and safety standards with flexible telework options and periodic travel up to 75%. The position requires a four-year degree and knowledge of Texas laws; incumbents must demonstrate

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university required.
• Experience in regulatory/inspections is preferred.
• Applicant must meet initial screening criteria for Inspector III–V.

Responsabilités

• Monitor licensed and registered child-care facilities for compliance with standards.
• Investigate complaints and enforce minimum standards.
• Evaluate new applications for child-care facilities and issue permits.
• Provide training and technical assistance to child-care providers.
• Travel may be required; telework may be available when approved.
