Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks an Investigator V to conduct on-site inspections and investigations in Texas long-term care facilities. You will write detailed reports, communicate findings, and collaborate with facility staff to ensure compliance with laws and rules.

The role requires travel up to 80% statewide, with a focus on accuracy, professional judgment, and timely documentation. This frontline position offers strong state benefits and career growth opportunities.

Competenze

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Investigative experience or experience in long-term care may be substituted for education.
• Must have SMQT certification or obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Current license or registration as a nurse, social worker, respiratory therapist or dietician preferred.

Mansioni

• Conduct on-site licensure inspections, complaint and incident investigations.
• Complete inspection or survey reports detailing deficiencies.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders to provide or verify information.
• Conduct exit conferences with facility staff regarding findings.
• Visit facilities to verify correction of cited violations.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of documents prepared by others.
• Be available for on-call duties and testify in hearings if needed.
