Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Sr. Staff - Chief Engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary team across missile design, development, integration and test. Locations include Huntsville, AL or Roy, UT, with up to 10% travel.

The ideal candidate will drive technical direction, oversee MBSE, architecture, and verification, ensuring DoD compliance and on-schedule delivery while providing exceptional customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 16+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 14+ years, or PhD with 12+ years.
• US Citizenship with active Secret clearance; ability to obtain TS/SAP.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams on missile/aerospace programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary IPTs (systems, air-vehicle, software, test, manufacturing, supply chain).
• Own end-to-end system design, integration, verification, and MBSE.
• Maintain the technical baseline, schedule, KPIs, and program risk mitigation.
• Chair technical reviews and liaise with customers, suppliers, and leadership.
• Drive agile/process-improvement practices and MBSE tool adoption.
