Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Chief Engineer - Level 7 for Central Software, E&P Engineering, to serve as the definitive technical authority on the program. The role will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team across Huntsville, AL; Colorado Springs, CO; or Boulder, CO, reporting to the regional Software Engineering Director and interfacing with government customers.

You will drive design, development, testing and deployment of missile defense solutions, ensure cost and schedule objectives,

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in STEM with 16 years of relevant experience; 14 years with master’s degree; 12 years with PhD.
Active Secret clearance and US citizenship.
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Minimum 5 years of Missile Defense program experience.
Demonstrated leadership applying Software Engineering Principles to guide design and deployment.

Responsibilities

Lead technical development and direction of all engineering aspects on the program, including design, development, implementation, testing, and delivery.
Advise the program director and interface with the customer.
Lead technical execution for a complex program, integrating multi-disciplinary engineering efforts to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
Maintain cognizance over technical activities and ensure best-practice engineering processes.
Collaborate with team leads to resolve engineering conflicts and provide innovative solutions.
