Job summary

The role reports to the regional Software Engineering Director and interfaces with government customers, focusing on delivering on cost and schedule while guiding a multidisciplinary team through complex Missile Defense initiatives and AI-enabled software development.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in STEM and 16 years of relevant experience; 14 years with a master's, or 12 years with a PhD.
• Experience leading large engineering teams and end-to-end system development.
• Active Secret clearance and US citizenship required.
• Expertise in Missile Defense programs and software engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Technical development and direction of all engineering on the program.
• Advise the program director and interface with the customer.
• Lead technical execution to meet cost, schedule, and performance.
• Ensure integration of compliant engineering processes across the program.
• Collaborate with team leads to resolve complex engineering problems.
• Assess risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Provide mentoring in software engineering principles and practices.
• Interface with stakeholders and contractors to ensure system integration.
• Develop and present technical solutions to senior leadership.
• Lead AI-assisted software development initiatives.
