Job summary

Top Prospect Group is seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer for an onsite role in Stratford, CT. You will own product processes, monitor production, and develop COPs while supporting pilot batches and scale-up to commercial production.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years in chemical manufacturing, strong project management, and ability to drive cross-functional initiatives across Quality, Safety, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering preferred, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Senior Engineer: 7+ years of hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing environment as a Process or Production Engineer.
• Proven track record of successful project management from initial scope development through implementation.
• Experience with batch chemical processing, lab scale and pilot scale.
• Knowledge of quality, environmental, and process safety management systems (OSH PSM, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) preferred.
• Strong multitasking and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop a general knowledge of all products and manufacturing processes.
• Serve as Product Owner for assigned products, monitor production and interact with Operations personnel daily.
• Develop and maintain COPs; support pilot batches and scale-up.
• Review costs, update BOMs and routes; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Generate reports; monitor key production variables monthly/quarterly.
• Lead risk management and process safety initiatives; manage CAPAs and non-conformances.
• Coordinate changes via MOC; lead cross-functional teams on improvements and troubleshooting.
• Support production scheduling, purchasing, and COP closure; interact with Sales/Marketing.
