Job summary

Element Solutions Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Chemical Engineer to lead the design, development, scale-up, and optimization of chemical manufacturing processes from laboratory concepts through pilot plant and full-scale production.

The role requires deep expertise in process design, calculations, pilot development, and data-driven improvement. You will work within the Global Process Engineering Group, supporting global operations, capital projects, process safety, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering is required; master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in chemical process development, scale-up, or manufacturing.
• Strong ability to develop engineering documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, scale-up from lab to commercial production.
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and heat transfer calculations.
• Provide technical leadership for design and construction of facilities and process skids.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, OSHA, EPA, NFPA and other codes.
• Support process safety evaluations and regulatory compliance with EH&S.
• Lead or support equipment selection, vendor coordination, and factory acceptance testing.
• Design pilot plant trials to assess feasibility and scale-up risks.
• Apply statistics and data analytics to improve yield and reduce defects.
