Job summary

The Richmond Group USA is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process development, optimization, and scale-up for cGMP chemical manufacturing in Pennsylvania.

This strategic role focuses on improving throughput, quality, safety, and cost across chemical operations while driving process validation and change control. You will mentor engineers and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver major process improvements for pharmaceutical ingredients.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing and regulated process industries.
• Knowledge of process scale-up and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Lead process development, optimization, scale-up, and commercialization projects.
• Improve manufacturing throughput, quality, safety, and cost across chemical operations.
• Drive process validation, qualification, and cGMP compliance initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term engineering solutions.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Validation, and EHS on critical projects.
• Mentor engineers while helping strengthen the overall engineering function.

What We’re Looking For

• BS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing, fine chemicals, pharmaceutical ingredients, specialty chemicals, or other regulated process industries.
• Background in process scale-up, continuous improvement, and manufacturing optimization.
• Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing, process validation, and change control.
• Experience with reactors, centrifuges, dryers, pumps, utilities, and other process equipment.
