Job summary

Boston Government Services (BGS) seeks a Chemical Engineer to join the Mechanical Project Design group at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The role provides process design support for the Lithium Processing Facility with scope definition, feasibility studies, and detailed designs.

The ideal candidate has an ABET-accredited B.S. in Chemical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in complex nuclear or chemical facilities, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience including process design of complex nuclear or chemical facilities.
• U.S. citizen.
• Successful drug screening.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop flowsheets (P&IDs, block diagrams) and perform analyses and calculations.
• Prepare reports, studies, and Process Descriptions.
• Support other duties as assigned.
