Job summary

Weaver is seeking a Senior Associate Chemical Engineer for the Energy Compliance Services team in Houston, TX. The role focuses on leading regulatory compliance engagements, supervising reviews, and performing mass/energy balance calculations for renewable fuel facilities.

Ideal candidates hold a Chemical Engineering degree, an active EIT license, 2+ years in the field, and strong writing/presentation skills. Occasional travel and a collaborative, growth-oriented environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 2+ years in chemical engineering with project management, consulting, regulatory compliance and/or client relations.
• Currently holds EIT license.
• Experience performing mass and energy balance calculations.
• Experience interpreting block flow diagrams (BFDs) and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
• Demonstrates independent thinking and strong decision-making skills.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with teammates with different perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead assurance and consulting engagements related to regulatory compliance.
• Supervise engineering reviews and on-site inspections of renewable fuel facilities.
• Perform mass and energy balance calculations for client projects.
• Prepare client-ready deliverables and provide regular status updates.
• Collaborate with leadership in a Houston-based office to execute plans.
