Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Change Order Engineer to join our project site in midtown Manhattan.

The role focuses on managing, evaluating, pricing, and negotiating change orders for civil/building construction, ensuring all cost impacts and contract changes are documented and processed in line with contract requirements. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in heavy civil and vertical construction and strong contract administration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (required).
• 10+ years of experience in change order management, cost engineering, or contract administration for civil/building contractors.
• Extensive experience with heavy civil, infrastructure, and vertical construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (lump sum, GMP, unit price, design-build).

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of change orders from identification to execution.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, RFIs, field directives to determine scope impacts.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for change orders including labor and materials.
• Track change order logs and forecast costs against budget.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and clients to secure approvals.
