About the Role
The Midtown Group is partnering with a premier, rapidly scaling culture and change consultancy to place a senior-level Organizational Change Management (OCM) leader. Our client works alongside purpose-driven enterprise executives to build high-performance cultures, drive operational efficiency, and accelerate strategic transformation.
We have an immediate opening for a Senior Change Management Consultant to lead a critical corporate finance transformation initiative. This role is strictly hands‑on: you will not just provide strategic counsel, but actively build, execute, and steer change programs to drive measurable adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Transformation Strategy & Execution: Design and deliver end-to‑end OCM strategies for large-scale enterprise finance transformations, with a core focus on financial reporting and data management systems.
- Executive & Sponsor Alignment: Engage directly with C-suite and finance leaders to drive stakeholder alignment, manage risk, and foster change readiness across business units.
- Hands‑on Delivery: Develop communications, change impact assessments, readiness plans, and stakeholder engagement roadmaps from inception through stabilization.
- Collaborative Enablement: Partner closely with technical implementation teams and learning/enablement groups to ensure training and change interventions align seamlessly for end‑to‑end adoption.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15+ Years of OCM Experience: Proven track record in dedicated organizational change leadership (not generalized project management with change exposure).
- Corporate Finance & Reporting Expertise: Demonstrated success guiding corporate finance data management and reporting technology transformations (e.g., ERP migrations, FP&A tool rollouts, enterprise data governance).
- Ideal candidates will well developed OCM strategies for large‑scale enterprise finance transformations that include a significant focus on financial reporting and data management systems. Those who have facilitated Anaplan implementations and rollouts will be very well received.
- (Note: This role focuses on internal corporate finance transformation, not financial services, retail banking, or investment portfolio operations.)
- Active OCM Certification: Must hold at least one of the following:
- ACMP Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
- PMI-CP / Change Management Specialist
- Hands‑on Mindset: Willingness to operate autonomously and produce tactical deliverables alongside strategic guidance.
- Contractor Status: Must operate as an established Independent Contractor (1099 or W2).
Preferred Qualifications
- Working familiarity with enterprise reporting architectures and BI/reporting platforms (e.g., SAP or Anaplan preferred, but Oracle or Netsuite acceptable).
- Strong working knowledge of adult learning principles to coordinate effectively with instructional design and training leads.
