Job summary

Stout seeks an accomplished CFO Advisory leader to guide finance transformation and value-creation engagements for middle-market to large organizations. You’ll work with CFOs, executive teams, and PE sponsors to drive profitability, cash flow, and strategic outcomes across industries.

You will develop financial models and performance metrics, mentor teams, and contribute to business development while leveraging ERP and BI tools to enable smarter decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
• 10+ years in finance transformation, management consulting, operational improvement, corporate finance, or transaction-related value creation
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred
• Experience in consulting/advisory environment, corporate finance leadership, PE portfolio ops, or similar
• Demonstrated experience leading complex finance and operational transformation initiatives
• Experience supporting PE-backed businesses, post-acquisition integration, or value creation programs preferred
• Industry experience may include manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, healthcare, and other complex environments
• CPA not required; emphasis on financial, operational, and transformation expertise

Responsibilities

• Lead CFO Advisory engagements focused on improving financial and operational performance
• Partner with CFOs and PE sponsors to develop finance transformation initiatives
• Assess working capital performance including inventory, order-to-cash, and cash conversion
• Lead post-acquisition value creation initiatives and synergy realization
• Translate financial and operational data into actionable recommendations to improve profitability and cash flow
• Develop financial models, business cases, and performance metrics for executive decision-making
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial visibility, accountability, and execution
• Mentor junior professionals and guide engagement leadership
• Support business development by identifying client opportunities and proposing solutions
• Identify opportunities to apply AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis and processes
