Job summary

Blue Origin Engines is seeking an experienced CFD Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize engine components and systems. You will build high-fidelity CFD models to predict thermal environments and structural loading across steady and transient conditions, guiding design decisions and instrument selections for test campaigns.

You will work closely with thermal and structural analysts to ensure integrated predictions, anchor models to test data, and advance automation and best practices in CFD

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of CFD analysis experience in combustion systems, turbomachinery, or engine systems.
• Proficiency with CFD codes such as ANSYS Fluent/CFX, Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain CFD models to predict thermal environments and structural loading for combustion devices and turbomachinery components.
• Generate high-fidelity predictions of flow fields, temperature distributions, and thermal gradients for design support and life assessments.
• Derive CFD-based boundary conditions for downstream FE analyses and collaborate with thermal/structural teams.
