Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Senior Certification & Compliance Engineer to join our engineering team. This remote role works with design and manufacturing teams to align product development with global regulatory standards for modular data center products, including E-houses, power skids, and containers.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in regulatory compliance, a bachelor’s in engineering, and a track record guiding NRTL listings (UL/Intertek).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of direct experience in regulatory compliance, standards engineering, or design-focused product safety roles.
  • Active participation in professional standards technical committees (e.g., IEEE, UL, NFPA) preferred.
  • Experience certifying industrial power equipment, modular enclosures, or data center skids with NRTL listings.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with design engineers to guide layouts, spacing, and component selection.
  • Vet third-party components for listings and ratings.
  • Ensure packaging designs respect NEC code, egress, and safety boundaries.
  • Define, coordinate, and execute global product certification strategy.
  • Act as technical contact with NRTLs (UL, Intertek, CSA).
  • Structure and oversee physical testing programs (dielectric, short-circuit, environmental tests).
