Job summary

Celestica in the United States is seeking a Senior Certification & Compliance Engineer to embed with product development teams from day one, guiding designs toward regulatory readiness for modular data-center enclosures and power systems.

You will own the global product certification strategy, act as primary NRTL contact, oversee testing campaigns, ensure NEC/NFPA/UL compliance, and work with manufacturing to align production tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 6+ years in regulatory compliance, standards engineering or design-focused product safety.
• Active participation in professional standards committees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embed with design engineers to guide layouts, component selection and safety boundaries.
• Vet third-party components for listings and ratings to meet target specs.
• Ensure packaging designs respect NEC/NFPA/OSHA safety boundaries.
• Define, coordinate and execute the global product certification strategy.
• Serve as primary technical contact with NRTLs (UL, Intertek, CSA).
• Structure and oversee testing campaigns (dielectric, short-circuit, thermal, ingress).
