Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health and New England Baptist Hospital are seeking a Sterile Processing Technician III to join the CSPD team. The role emphasizes independent proficiency and serving as a preceptor to develop skills across core functions while ensuring instrument sterility and readiness for procedures.

Responsibilities include decontaminating, inspecting, assembling trays, loading sterilizers, and documenting load data.

Qualifications

CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
2–4 years of sterile processing experience.
Proficient with surgical instrument identification and care.
Basic computer skills and troubleshooting aptitude.

Responsibilities

Decontaminates surgical instruments according to manufacturers' instructions and CSPD leadership guidance.
Inspects instruments after decontamination for cleanliness, integrity and function.
Assembles trays ensuring device sterility and accessibility for end users.
Proficient in interfacing with tracking systems for processing functions.
Loads sterilizer carts and ensures items remain intact and properly stored.
Performs daily sterilizer testing and records monitoring.
Operates sterilizers following manufacturer instructions and documents cycles.
Documents load contents and updates tracking system records.
