General Statement of Duties: An employee in this class is responsible for managing the office staff who administer senior center programs, activities, volunteers, operations, and the functions of the Senior Services Thomasville facility. This position works within broad policy and organizational guidelines to manage staff and programs. Progress is reported through periodic conferences and meetings. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Senior Services Director and is evaluated through observation, conferences, and the quality and effectiveness of work completed.
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational support functions of walking, talking, standing, and hearing. Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must possess visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures; perform accounting; operate a computer terminal; and conduct visual inspections of small defects or parts, machine operation or inspection of machines.
Graduation from an accredited college with a four‑year degree and considerable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license.
