Volkert Inc. is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector for our Gulf Region based in East Arkansas. The role requires 8+ years of inspection experience, with responsibilities ranging from documentation of compliance and testing to coordination with contractors and project teams.

The candidate will oversee field activities, manage daily testing and records, and contribute to safety and quality across projects. Strong communication, physical capability to perform field inspections, and ability to work

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive inspection level experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform moderate physical activity including walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and standing.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and work nights/weekends as required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and have a valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Inspect for compliance with contract documents, standards, and specifications.
• Test materials; review plans; analyze engineering-related data; conduct construction surveys/layout.
• Maintain daily diaries, resolve issues, and mitigate delays to contractor's progress.
• Monitor contractor operations, review test reports, and oversee relocation work to ensure conformity with specs.
• Document pay records, perform construction calculations, and enter data in computerized systems.
• Advise on plan revisions or contract adjustments to improve safety and timely delivery.
