Volkert Inc. is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector to support our Gulf Region in East Arkansas. The candidate will bring extensive inspection experience and oversee compliance with project plans, specifications, and permits.

Responsibilities include testing materials, reviewing plans, analyzing data, and maintaining project diaries to mitigate delays. The role requires safe operation, strong communication with contractors, and ability to work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive inspection level experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect for compliance with contract documents, standards, and specifications.
• Test materials; review plans; analyze engineering-related data; conduct construction surveys/layout.
• Maintain daily diaries on project operations and resolve constructability issues to mitigate delays.
• Monitor contractor daily operations; review test reports to ensure conformity with plans and specifications; relay relocation efforts when needed.
• Document pay records and perform construction calculations; enter data into computer systems.
