Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Inspector to join its CEI team for on-site field work at various project locations. The role involves inspecting roadway, bridge, drainage, erosion-control, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and provisions. Travel to project sites may be required.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, and 6 years of related experience. Certifications from ACI or NICET may be required by client or jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to verify materials and construction conform to plans and specs.
• Use higher-grade equipment and perform complex calculations for inspection.
• Work under supervision appropriate to the assignment.
• Review drawings to prepare for construction inspection.
• Document and communicate inspection results to supervisor.
