Job summary

Summit Et is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert for the Mobile Deployment Detection Unit (MDDU) to lead operational support for DHS CWMD partners and first responders. You will oversee surge deployments, coordinate equipment transport, and ensure readiness of detection systems for 24/7 operations during national events.

This role requires extensive radiological/nuclear detection experience, readiness to deploy nationwide, and strong reporting skills to the Program Manager.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in R/N detection training and related operations.
• Experience supporting special events or continuous operations with R/N detection.
• Proficient with PRD, RIID, and mobile radiation detection systems.
• Able to travel 50–75% of the month across the contiguous US and territories.
• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and report on all MDDU program planning and management tasks.
• Deploy MDDP equipment and transport to designated locations.
• Coordinate and track deployments of MDDU equipment.
• Maintain MDDU equipment in ready state for deployment 24/7.
• Provide coverage during non-standard hours, weekends and holidays.
• Provide just-in-time training on deployed equipment to stakeholders.
• Ensure completion of After-Action Reports for deployments.
• Assist with scheduling onsite staff to support surge deployments.
• Provide status updates to the DHS CWMD MDDU PM.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
