Job summary

SummitET is seeking a full-time DHS CBRN/WMD Detection Operations SME in Herndon, VA to support DHS and the Mobile Detection Deployment Unit (MDDU). The role includes maintaining detection equipment, conducting field repairs, and coordinating nationwide deployments.

You will train with federal, state, and local agencies, report findings, and ensure readiness 24/7. Candidates must have CBRN experience, valid CDL, and be prepared to travel 50–75% of the month.

Qualifications

• Experience in chemical, biological, radiological, and/or nuclear (CBRN) detection with emphasis on radiation/nuclear detection.

Responsibilities

• Track and maintain care, custody, and control of MDDU equipment and radioactive sources.
• Conduct inventories of DHS MDDU property and update tracking information.
• Ensure equipment is repaired, calibrated, and ready for deployment 24/7.
• Perform CBRN detection operations with federal, state, and local agencies.
• Coordinate deployments and prepare after-action reports for MDDU missions.
• Provide oral and written status updates to team lead or client program manager.
