Job summary

Summit Exercises and Training in New Jersey seeks a DHS CBRN/WMD Detection Operations Senior Subject Matter Expert for the Mobile Deployment Detection Unit (MDDU). You will lead for the location and provide program support, surge capability, and coordination with federal and state partners during national security events.

The role requires extensive CBRN/RN detection experience, equipment deployment, and willingness to travel 50–75% of the month. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in CBRN/RN detection and related operations.
• Experience training and supporting special events or NSSE/SEAR events is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to generate reports (AARs, SITREPs).

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize and report on MDDU program planning and management taskings.
• Deploy MDDU equipment and coordinate field deployments.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained for deployment 24/7.
• Provide coverage during non-standard hours including weekends/holidays.
• Complete After-Action Reports and support surge staffing.
• Travel between 50% and 75% of the month across the contiguous US.
• Other duties as assigned by Program Manager.
