Job summary

Summit Exercises and Training LLC (SummitET) seeks a Sr Subject Matter Expert for the Mobile Deployment Detection Unit (MDDU) based in Herndon, VA. This surge role supports national security events, with deployment of radiological/nuclear detection and reporting capabilities for federal and state partners.

The candidate will lead program planning at their location, coordinate deployments, maintain equipment readiness, and provide training and timely reports.

Qualifications

• 10 years of RN detection training and operations at events.
• Experience with DHS CWMD and National Security events.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% of the month.
• Proficient in daily situation reports and AARs.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize and report on MDDU program planning and taskings.
• Deploy MDDU equipment as needed and transport to sites.
• Coordinate and track deployments of MDDU assets and equipment.
• Ensure MDDU equipment is repaired, calibrated and ready for deployment 24/7/365.
• Provide coverage during standard and non-standard hours, including weekends.
• Provide just-in-time training to stakeholders at MDDU events.
• Ensure completion of After-Action Reports after deployments.
• Assist with scheduling off-site staff for surge deployments.
• Provide status updates to the DHS CWMD MDDU PM.
• Other duties as assigned.
