Job summary

Norfolk & Dedham Insurance seeks an experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to manage casualty claims, including large and complex files. You will examine claims, determine coverage, reserve appropriately, and coordinate with clients, lawyers, and witnesses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in casualty claims handling.

Responsibilities

• Examine claims forms and records to determine insurance coverage and extent; maintain reserves and document policy limits and terms.
• Handle large and complex casualty claims and oversee adjustment of auto or casualty claims.
• Maintain timely and accurate claim file reserves and track open files with status reports.
• Attend litigation hearings, depositions and mediations as a Company representative.
• Conduct interviews with insureds/claimants/witnesses and take recorded statements.
• Correspond with insureds/claimants and/or their legal representatives.
