Job summary

Acadia Insurance, Marlborough, MA, is seeking an experienced claims professional to investigate, evaluate, and resolve high exposure commercial liability claims. You will negotiate with insureds and third parties, coordinate with underwriting and loss control, and mentor junior staff.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in commercial liability claims, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and a strong ability to manage complex workloads while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of commercial liability claims experience.
• Strong negotiation and claims resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with agents and cross-department teams.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate and resolve assigned high exposure claims per standards and state requirements.
• Perform timely investigations to determine coverage, liability and damages.
• Negotiate with insureds and third parties to resolve claims fairly.
• Control file-related expenses by using outside vendors effectively.
• Inform other departments of conditions impacting results.
• Manage workload to meet quality and quantity goals while delivering service.
• Participate in account reviews and advise on loss ratio improvements.
• Handle complex cases involving coverage, liability and damages under supervision.
