Job summary

West Bend Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Sr. Casualty Claims Representative to independently manage complex casualty claims across Construction Defect, General Liability, Commercial Transportation, and Auto Bodily Injury.

The role offers remote and hybrid work in Wisconsin. Hybrid arrangements apply for candidates within 50 miles of West Bend, Madison, or Appleton, with occasional travel to offices for engagement activities and training.

Qualifications

• Significant experience handling casualty claims, including complex bodily injury exposures.
• Prior experience with General Liability, Auto Bodily Injury, and Commercial Transportation claims is preferred.
• Strong coverage analysis, liability evaluation, and investigative skills are essential.
• Experience managing litigated files and working with attorneys is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are important.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve moderate to highly complex casualty claims.
• Evaluate policy coverage, liability, damages, and risk exposure.
• Establish and maintain claim reserves.
• Negotiate settlements and manage complex claims efficiently.
• Collaborate with defense counsel on strategy and review indemnification provisions.
