Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance's Personal Lines Casualty team seeks a Senior Claims Specialist to manage attorney-represented auto and homeowner's bodily injury claims. You will investigate, resolve, and communicate with policyholders while maintaining reserves and coordinating with trial counsel.

The role supports hybrid work with on-site presence required within 50 miles of a Claims office, or fully remote if beyond that distance. Eastern Time schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communications required.
• Interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills needed.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 12–18 months related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, investigate, and resolve claims within authority; assess coverage, liability, damages.
• Identify suspicious claims; refer to SIU; pursue third-party subrogation.
• Prepare for and attend trials; report status to management.
• Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, claimants to gather info.
• Ensure reserves adequacy and security of financial processing.
• Manage outside and in-house counsel billing; training attendance required.
