Job summary

GE Aerospace in Norwalk, CT seeks a Senior Casting Technology Manufacturing Engineer to lead casting process development and supplier collaborations. You will own technical processes, drive new casting technologies, and work with Quality and Design to meet performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or a HS diploma with 4+ years casting experience.
• Minimum 5 years castings experience.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to travel 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Technical process and product ownership for castings commodity.
• Active role in the development and industrialization of new casting technologies.
• Work cross functionally with Quality and Design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics.
• Plan and implement process-engineering activities for new product and technology development
• Mentor suppliers in the application of quality tools & requirements and new technologies
• Partner with sourcing team members for Casting supplier development and cost out projects
• Design and implement manufacturing processes
• Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated area
• Act as change agent, understanding and moving the operation toward world-class performance
• Communicate progress & challenges to leadership teams
