Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. seeks a Senior Product Engineer for Plant 10 - Whitehall Casting Operation in Whitehall, MI.

The role focuses on process control, improvement initiatives, and ownership of product integrity, with responsibilities spanning work instructions, cost knowledge, and profitability plans. The candidate will coordinate with shop floor and engineering teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety and ergonomics in scalable solutions across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7 years of product / process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Plans and formulates engineering programs within area of assigned responsibility.
• Implements and reviews process design for compliance with engineering principles, standards and customer requirements.
• Supports activities related to technical development, customer issues, cost reduction, and solving design/test problems.
• Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
• Provides technical support for coating, brazing, or manufacturing areas and interfaces with production, suppliers and customers.
• Develops and implements process improvements and cost reductions.
