Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer/Specialist to join our Research and Development Center in Whitehall, Michigan, contributing to process improvements and engineered solutions in casting and coating industries.

You will oversee project builds, coordinate internal and external teams, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of equipment installations. Responsibilities include scheduling, customer/supplier relationship management, bids, and ensuring compliance with EHS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of concepts and engineered solutions for process and technical issues in investment casting and coating industries.
• Manage assembly and implementation of engineering projects and equipment construction.
• Maintain project build schedules to ensure completion within budget and delivery schedules.
• Manage customer and supplier/vendor relationships, ensure projects meet customer requirements.
• Assist with quoting and soliciting bids for projects.
• Coordinate equipment build process within MTech fabrication area, organize shipment and installation on-site of equipment at customer facilities.
• Supervise lead technicians and team members through the build process while adhering to EHS requirements.
• Coordinate with internal design engineers, fabrication resources, and external suppliers.
• Provide engineering solutions and document changes to any situations that may occur during development and construction of equipment.
