Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Whitehall Casting Operation in Whitehall, MI.

The role focuses on resolving manufacturing and shipment issues, administering quality systems, and driving continuous improvement to meet customer specifications. The candidate will perform root cause analysis and corrective actions, communicating effectively with shop floor and engineering teams while ensuring compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Experience with AS9100, NADCAP and quality systems.
• 3 years Quality and/or Engineering experience with strong dimensional and analytical skills.
• ASQ, CQA, and/or CQE preferred.
• Excellent PC skills, written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Resolve manufacturing & shipment issues relative to customer specifications.
• Administer quality manuals and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate quality concerns and approvals to customers and stakeholders.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
• Act as liaison between shop floor, engineering and business centers.
