Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall, MI is seeking a Quality Engineer to resolve manufacturing and shipment issues relative to customer specifications.

The role involves supporting quality manuals, continuous improvement, and collaboration with business center personnel. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3 years of quality/engineering experience, and knowledge of AS9100/NADCAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Preferred disciplines include Mechanical, Material Science, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3 years Quality/Engineering experience with strong dimensional and analytical skills.
• ASQ, CQA, and/or CQE preferred.
• Experience in aerospace or automotive.

Responsibilities

• Resolve manufacturing and shipment issues to customer specs.
• Support quality manuals, continuous improvement, and interaction with business center personnel on quality initiatives.
• Root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
