Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, seeks a Senior Casting Engineer for our Asheville, NC production facility. The role focuses on single-crystal turbine airfoil casting, process development, and mentorship in a state-of-the-art foundry environment.

You will lead metallurgical controls, qualify new casting equipment, and drive improvements to meet cost, yield, and delivery targets in a high-volume production setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in metallurgy-related field with SX/DS experience.
• 10+ years aerospace investment casting experience for SX/DS.
• Mastery of superalloy solidification, defect prevention, and crystallographic orientation management.

Responsibilities

• Support metallurgical process development and qualification for SX turbine airfoil casting.
• Develop SX solidification parameters including mold preheat and withdrawal profiles.
• Provide direction on melt practices, alloy cleanliness, and mold/metal interface behavior.
