Job summary

Lowe’s in Egg Harbor Township, NJ is hiring for a customer service focused associate. You will assist customers, locate and load merchandise, and guide projects, while answering questions about stock, features, warranties, and Lowe’s programs.

The role also includes coaching front-end team members, operating the cash register, processing transactions, and ensuring accurate change and efficient checkout coverage. Safety and store standards are essential throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Less than 1 year experience using a computer.
• Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology (smartphones/tablets).
• 1 year retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service at all times by following Lowe’s policies and programs.
• Help customers locate, demonstrate, select, carry and load merchandise.
• Listen and respond to questions, guiding customers through projects as needed.
• Communicate stock, features, warranties, and program information to customers.
• Coach and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Process sales, returns and refunds at the cash register per guidelines.
• Ensure proper change is given and assist with checkout coverage when needed.
• Inspect returned merchandise for damages and verify order accuracy.
• Assist with price matches, order placement, and loading tickets.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards and monitor for security risks.
