Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s policies and programs
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Listens to and responds to customer and employee questions and guides them through projects
• Communicates information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application and warranty information
• Coaches, develops, trains, and evaluates associates in sales opportunities
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler levels to ensure limits
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters and submits customer orders and loads tickets
• Looks up product information and price matches with competitors
• Records all items used in the store on use lists
• Completes cash counting and daily reconciliation duties
• Maintains store safety and housekeeping standards
• Operates store equipment as needed and supports other duties as assigned
