WEX is seeking a Senior Team Leader to guide the Cash Application group, driving accurate payments posting, close processes, and cross-functional collaboration. The role emphasizes leadership, risk mitigation, and process improvements within a high‑volume environment.

The successful candidate will oversee onboarding of subsidiaries, coordinate with treasury, and lead initiatives to automate and streamline cash and receivable workflows.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ year of proven senior leadership experience in finance-related fields.
• 7+ years of financial experience in Accounts Receivable, banking, Accounts Payable, or another applicable area.
• 1-3 years of experience in managing high-level financial processes and teams.
• Must successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening.

Aufgaben

• Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely application of payments received from customers to receivable accounts by providing advanced leadership and development to the team.
• Collaborate with Receivables, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues with customer postings or misapplied cash promptly.
• Lead and manage the daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reporting with a higher level of oversight.
• Coordinate with WEX Bank and the WEX Accounting team, ensuring seamless integration with the General Ledger and daily cash/accounts receivable journal entries.
• Design, streamline, and execute processes and procedures that incorporate controls to mitigate financial risk while emphasizing efficiency and accuracy of transactions.
• Identify and drive process improvement and automation opportunities, working with respective functions to implement suggestions.
• Respond to requests for financial information from internal and external stakeholders, including internal and external auditors, with a higher level of detail and accuracy.
• Oversee the onboarding and integration of subsidiaries and new acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with financial policies.
• Work with Treasury and IT groups to coordinate lockbox activity, resolve file issues with banks, and represent operations on bank or Treasury initiatives.
• Provide leadership to the team, including meetings, goal setting, metrics, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate work distributions, training schedules, PTO/holiday coverage calendars, and process documentation.
• Mentor and develop team leaders for consistent leadership across the department.
• Proactively identify and embrace AI and automation opportunities to drive scale and reduce manual processes.
