WEX is seeking a Senior Team Leader to oversee the Cash Application team, ensuring accurate and timely posting of customer payments and strong controls. You will lead close processes, collaborate with Receivables and Treasury, and drive automation initiatives to scale operations.

The role emphasizes leadership, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across subsidiaries and new acquisitions, with a focus on compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of proven senior leadership experience in finance-related fields.
• 7+ years of financial experience in Accounts Receivable, banking, Accounts Payable, or another applicable area.
• 1-3 years of experience in managing high-level financial processes and teams.
• Must successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the accurate and timely application of payments to receivable accounts and provide advanced leadership to the team.
• Collaborate with Receivables, Customer Service, and other internal stakeholders to promptly resolve issues with postings or misapplied cash.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reporting with strong oversight.
• Coordinate with WEX Bank and Accounting to ensure seamless integration with the GL and daily postings.
• Design and implement processes with controls to mitigate financial risk while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities across functions.
• Respond to financial information requests from stakeholders and auditors with detail and accuracy.
• Oversee onboarding/integration of subsidiaries and acquisitions ensuring policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Treasury and IT to coordinate lockbox activity and resolve bank file issues.
• Provide leadership through team meetings, one-on-ones, goals, metrics, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate workloads, training, PTO, holiday coverage, and maintain process documentation.
• Mentor and develop team leaders to ensure consistent leadership across the dept.
• Explore AI/automation opportunities to scale operations and reduce manual work.
